Cheap books and architects

A few months ago we created a platform called EXPLOITED ARCHITECTS, that seeks to end precarious work practices based supported, scholarships, false self-employed full time etc..

N addition to organizing actions like the one announced in the poster, have a blog through which organize and share information:

Among the precariousness, rental and 15% Income Tax, paste is not much, for that is welcome initiatives such as the publication of the first book of architecture on line, skin (skin), you can enjoy without paying 80 euros, not carry you through tree. If hacienda has made you something, have another interesting option, that is web AbeBooks, where you can find used books, Discontinued and others in a wide network of libraries across Europe, many at reasonable prices. I, in any case, prefer public libraries and libraries outside, so I have no books to load each time you move or take out the dust.

Car Free Cities?? Worlds out of oil??

whater border city (The Country)Rem Koolhaas just designed, an island within a newly built city in which there will be no car and will accommodate 90.000 people. Ironies of life to do so in a desert area, gaining on the sea, and in a country living oil. Feeling for a bright side, to see if the model works and something we can copy us.

Street frontage future Lion Youth House

The CPPA technical team recently completed Implementation Project Youth House to the northern town of La Orotava promoted by the Youth Service, Education and Women of HE. Cabildo Insular de Tenerife.

The location at which it was decided to deploy the new Youth House of Orotava is located on a parcel located in the old town that has a building of heritage interest and important urban elements in your environment that give a functional advantage. It León street facades, near City Hall, Victoria and gardens which can also have a good relationship with the existing building Taoro.El Lyceum, traditional Canarian character and three heights in front, presents a significant deterioration is fully recoverable from the entire front bay.

Axis Tegueste citizen

Tegueste is split in two by the road TF13, and the debate over its alternatives seemed castled. As editors we proposed PGO imagine what would happen if they deviate outside the village, and value issues and alternatives, without discarding, a priori, no possibility. Nowadays, Road congestion has serious problems, to absorb other heavy traffic, making it an insurmountable barrier and a source of insecurity and pollution for residents. Without being outside the environmental impact would any deviation surrounding the urban area, believe that the current situation is unsustainable and that achieved a traffic diversion can promote improved Tegueste great if used intelligently urban void left by the road.

If the space is recovered for citizenship and not left as a street, could become a great public space around the nucleus estructurase by pedestrian, bike lanes and public transport step, weaving a network of small equipment, as squares, parks and scenic areas.

Then show two generic schemes that explain how to stay current section of what is now the road, and detail areas, we have called hybrid spaces.

This transformation, this could result in a gradual manner involving the teguesteros in their definition, entail the emergence of new activities that would enhance Tegueste: Hiking, playground, markets, fairs, theater shows, musical, folk, dining etc.. Bike lanes could lead to nuclei near Tegueste and La Laguna (The Relief, Tejina, Low tide, Valle de Guerra) and create an attraction that enhances trade and local production.

Last, visual reenactment by radical transformción photomontages of the road in a space for people.
